GUANGZHOU, China, Aug. 21, 2025 — WeRide (Nasdaq: WRD), a global leader in autonomous driving technology, has today introduced WePilot AiDrive, its advanced one-stage, end-to-end ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) solution. This development, a result of its collaboration with top Tier 1 supplier Bosch, arrives only six months after the two companies initiated mass production of their two-stage end-to-end solution.

Unlike conventional two-stage systems that separate sensing from decision-making, WePilot AiDrive unifies these functions within a single-stage architecture. This allows vehicles to “see and act” simultaneously, much like an experienced human driver, resulting in quicker responses, more efficient driving paths, and improved fault tolerance.

Having successfully completed core function validation, WePilot AiDrive is projected to commence mass production and vehicle integration later in 2025. This advancement is set to facilitate the global availability of smarter, more efficient, and broadly accessible assisted driving solutions.

WePilot AiDrive is designed to effortlessly manage intricate road scenarios, such as:

  • Executing lane changes in dense traffic
  • Navigating detours around unexpected construction zones
  • Performing unprotected turns at intersections
  • Achieving smooth acceleration while trailing other vehicles
  • Handling complex interactions with pedestrians, oncoming traffic, and roadside impediments on narrow urban village roads

The system’s one-stage, end-to-end architecture offers three primary benefits:

  1. Scalable computing power: Operates efficiently on high-performance computing platforms and can be readily downscaled to mid- and low-power configurations through model distillation. Its exclusive middleware separates algorithms from hardware and foundational software, ensuring smooth adaptability across various platforms, while its modular Level 2 functions streamline deployment, accelerate integration, and hasten mass production.
  2. Adaptability across sensor setups: Compatible with both pure vision and multi-sensor fusion technologies.
  3. Rapid daily iteration: Utilizes vast amounts of driving data to autonomously create training labels, leading to continuous and cost-effective performance enhancements. This reinforces the system’s capacity to manage complex edge cases and infrequent scenarios, fulfilling the principle: “the more you drive, the better it drives”.

WePilot AiDrive combines human-like Level 2 autonomy with strong safety features across diverse driving situations. With its mass production and vehicle integration scheduled for 2025, it is positioned to revolutionize the driving experience, offering greater safety and efficiency for users.
