The SAP-certified, highly integrated solution adheres to all German and European legal requirements for electronic invoices.

Ahrensburg/Künzelsau/Cologne, Germany – March 7, 2025. The BERNER Group, a forward-thinking manufacturer of chemical products and a leading European distributor for professionals in the mobility, construction, and industrial sectors, has chosen to implement xSuite. This AI-powered solution will automate the processing of incoming invoices. The initial rollout will occur within the B2B specialist’s Benelux operations, with subsequent implementations planned for other European countries.

This central B2B trading partner offers round-the-clock service to customers in 21 countries, delivering a seamless omni-channel shopping experience across five different channels. With advanced logistics centers in twelve countries and nearly 100 depots or craftsman centers in major metropolitan areas, the company stands as one of only two industry providers with a distribution network spanning all of Europe.

Procurement and related accounting processes require both speed and flexibility. Consequently, the BERNER Group has decided to replace its existing invoice capture and workflow solution with xSuite. The manufacturer’s comprehensive e-invoicing capabilities for both outgoing and incoming invoices, deep industry knowledge, exceptional support, and superior value were key factors in the decision.

Sven Spitz, Head of Finance & HR Solutions at the BERNER Group, stated: “The state-of-the-art xSuite software enables us to standardize and streamline our invoicing processes. Because the solution supports all SAP operating models, we are well-positioned for the future. Furthermore, artificial intelligence and cloud support will allow us to significantly lower our administrative costs.”

The solution will first be launched in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, followed by phased implementations across other European subsidiaries of the BERNER Group. The SAP-certified, integrated solution is fully compliant with the strict legal requirements of Germany and Europe concerning electronic invoicing. Data capture for all incoming invoices is managed through the xSuite cloud service. The solution also utilizes AI functions to automatically capture and assign invoices that are not based on a purchase order.
