BEIJING, May 16, 2025 — The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2025 will commence on September 10 in Beijing, with Australia serving as the guest country of honor.
According to Zhao Qizhou of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, the fair will now be held annually, starting on the second Wednesday of September. This announcement was made at a press conference on Thursday.
The venue will be Shougang Park, a 3-square-kilometer former industrial site that previously hosted events during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
The fair will feature sectors such as finance, culture and tourism, education, sports, supply chain, and healthcare services.
The event will span five days, with the first three days reserved for industry professionals and the final two days open to the public.
The Global Trade in Services Summit, jointly organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, China’s Ministry of Commerce, and the Beijing municipal government, is scheduled for September 10.
Since its launch in 2012, CIFTIS has served as a platform for global businesses to leverage opportunities arising from China’s opening up and the growth of its service trade sector.
Last year’s event saw participation from over 450 Fortune 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises, as well as representatives from 85 countries and international organizations.
