Le Bourget, Paris, June 16, 2025 – Deutsche Aircraft presented the New Garmin G5000® PRIME Flight Deck for the D328eco at the Paris Air Show 2025. This involves integrating Garmin’s G5000 PRIME flight deck into the next-generation D328eco, a 40-seat regional turboprop. The announcement signifies a major step forward in regional aviation, as it combines proven avionics with a sustainable aircraft platform.
Leveraging Garmin’s experience of delivering over 30,000 flight decks globally, the G5000 PRIME provides the D328eco with a modern, touchscreen-operated cockpit, offering a pilot-focused design, advanced automation, and compliance with global airspace regulations. Designed for Part 25 transport aircraft and Part 121 operations, the G5000 PRIME will be crucial in the D328eco’s objective to redefine regional air travel through efficiency, operational flexibility, and environmental consciousness.
Nico Neumann, Co-CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, stated, “The D328eco is intended to spearhead the next phase of regional aviation. By incorporating Garmin’s enhanced G5000 PRIME, we are equipping our aircraft with a future-proof flight deck that improves performance, provides unmatched reliability, and guarantees the operational flexibility required to address the diverse demands of regional air travel.”
Carl Wolf, Vice President, Aviation Sales, Marketing, Programs and Support at Garmin, commented, “The G5000 PRIME delivers a scalable, intuitive, and connected cockpit solution that offers Part 25 transport pilots increased functionality, simplifying operations and maximizing situational awareness. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Deutsche Aircraft and introduce G5000 PRIME to the regional aircraft market on the advanced D328eco.”
Next-Generation Flight Deck for a Next-Generation Aircraft
The G5000 PRIME’s crew-centric design and open architecture allows for quick adaptation to new technologies and mission requirements. Key capabilities include:
- NEXTGEN compliance with CPDLC, FANS 1/A+, ACARS, and Performance-Based Navigation (PBN)
- Touchscreen interface featuring intelligent, context-sensitive displays
- Runway Occupancy Awareness (ROA) and other advanced safety features
- Fleet connectivity and integrated health monitoring for predictive maintenance
- Proven reliability based on over 30,000 Garmin flight decks in use worldwide
As the D328eco program progresses, the G5000 PRIME will be essential in providing a digitally connected, user-friendly, and sustainability-focused flight experience. Deutsche Aircraft has reached a significant milestone, moving from the development phase to industrialization, which was highlighted by the unveiling of its first test aircraft, TAC 1, in late May 2025. This accomplishment underscores the program’s strong progress towards its entry into service in Q4 2027.
