GUIYANG, China, July 20, 2025 — The Guiyang Big Data Hub is celebrating a major achievement, with 1,355 businesses fueling a digital economy boom, generating ¥69 billion in output. As the key initiative of China’s first national big data pilot zone, the Guiyang Big Data Science and Innovation City has seen significant growth in the past three years. According to official data from the Guizhou government, the park was home to 1,355 companies by 2024, with big data firms making up 60% of the total, resulting in annual service revenues of ¥69 billion (a 6.44% increase year-over-year).

Breakthrough in Data Assetization‌

Guizhou Data Treasure Network Technology Co., Ltd. recently assisted Wanfenglin Scenic Area in completing Guizhou’s first data asset accounting project in the cultural tourism sector. By combining merchant operations and tourist spending data, the company developed several data products that helped the scenic area obtain a 100 million yuan line of credit from Guizhou Bank and contributed to its successful promotion to a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Data Treasure partner Zhou Lin stated that this achievement has encouraged more cultural tourism businesses to pursue data assetization partnerships.

Computing Power Empowers the Film Industry‌

The Gui’an New Area Supercomputing Center has provided rendering services for over 100 films, including The Battle at Lake Changjin and The Wandering Earth. With 1,000 high-performance GPUs and a computing capacity of 300 petaflops per second, the center can shorten rendering times from 600 years to just a few months. The 2024 Spring Festival hit Nezha: The Devil’s Child’s Chaos also benefited from the center’s computing power.

Continuous Optimization of the Business Environment‌

The Science and Innovation City’s Enterprise and Talent Service Center has pioneered a “one-network governance” system, resolving 1,489 business requests with a 98.41% completion rate. The zone has created a four-tier talent housing system and a unique investment attraction strategy combining “computing power + fund” approaches. The plan for 2025 includes attracting 445 new businesses and beginning construction on 2.68 million square meters of core-area projects.

The zone, which currently holds the “Guizhou Software Park” designation, is seeking national-level recognition while concentrating on three strategic clusters: the digital economy, advanced manufacturing, and new energy materials.
