Lauterbach, a leader in embedded systems development tools, and Andes Technology, a leading RISC-V processor IP provider, have partnered to improve debugging and tracing for engineers using Andes’ NCETRACE200 trace IP with Lauterbach’s TRACE32® tools.
Meeting the rising demand for RISC-V in diverse applications, this collaboration offers developers deep, non-intrusive trace visibility into their System-on-Chip (SoC) designs using Lauterbach’s TRACE32® and Andes’ NCETRACE200. This improves debugging and tracing, accelerates product launches, and enhances reliability, performance, and efficiency in embedded products.
AndesCore™ NCETRACE200, a non-intrusive tracing solution for Andes’ RISC-V processor portfolio (ranging from small, low-power MCUs to high-performance OoO application processors), features:
- A RISC-V N-Trace compatible trace encoder, timestamp generator, and decoder
- Multi-core tracing (up to 8 RISC-V harts)
- A configurable size Trace Buffer
- Support for mixed-ISA environments, including compatibility with Arm®’s CoreSight™ technology.
*ARM® and CoreSight™ are trademarks or registered trademarks of ARM Limited in the United States and other countries
“We’re pleased to support Andes Technology’s trace solution with our TRACE32® tools,” said Norbert Weiss, Managing Director at Lauterbach. “This collaboration gives engineers the tools to maximize their RISC-V designs, boosting innovation and efficiency in embedded systems.” Andes also expressed their excitement. “Lauterbach has been a long-term partner. This collaboration provides our customers with a comprehensive debug and trace experience, strengthening our position in the embedded systems market,” said Dr. Charlie Su, president and CTO at Andes Technology. “This will drive innovation in the RISC-V space, supporting a new generation of embedded solutions.”
