In a major step toward Bali’s 2045 net-zero emissions target, the Amerta Bali Lestari Foundation, through its unit, and Sustainability Economics have formed a partnership. This collaboration signifies a joint commitment to promoting clean energy and sustainable practices in the region.

Sustainability Economics, a Singapore and US-based organization with a Bangalore development center, offers comprehensive net-zero solutions for global businesses in high-emission sectors. The company specializes in facilitating profitable transitions from fossil fuels to clean energy, and is currently innovating a model that integrates clean power with AI-powered cloud data centers.

INZET, a Balinese non-profit and government advisor, will lead community engagement initiatives, leveraging its local expertise to ensure projects respect Bali’s culture and environment.

This MoU establishes a framework for collaboration, positioning Sustainability Economics as a key driver of Bali’s energy transition. 

Sustainability Economics’ CEO and Co-founder, Kasu, stated their honor in being appointed Bali’s clean energy advisor and expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with INZET on accelerating the energy transition through integrating clean energy and AI-powered cloud data centers. The partnership aims to create impactful change for Bali and serve as a global model for sustainable practices.

INZET Chairman Ida-Bagus Kesawa Narayana expressed his organization’s honor in partnering with Sustainability Economics, highlighting Bali’s ambitious net-zero goal and the need for financially viable sustainability initiatives. He emphasized the combined expertise in integrating clean energy solutions, advanced technology, and AI-driven data centers for a profitable and achievable transition.

Partnership Highlights  

The MoU outlines key areas of partnership to accelerate Bali’s sustainability journey:

1. Advancing Clean Energy Development– Transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable sources (solar, wind, battery, biomass, thermal, nuclear, and hydrogen) through feasibility studies, infrastructure development, and investment attraction.

2. Converging Clean Power and AI Cloud Data Centers– Developing and integrating AI Cloud data centers with clean energy initiatives for a sustainable future.

3. Policy Advocacy and Support- Advising the provincial government on policies and incentives for clean energy adoption and energy efficiency.

4. Capacity Building and Education- Providing training programs and workshops on sustainable energy solutions for local communities, businesses, and policymakers.

5. Community-Centric Approaches- Prioritizing community involvement to ensure project alignment with local needs and values.

6. Monitoring and Evaluation- Developing systems to monitor project progress and contributions to Bali’s net-zero goal.

This partnership represents a significant step in Bali’s pursuit of its 2045 net-zero emissions target. By combining local expertise and global solutions, INZET and Sustainability Economics are supporting the region’s clean energy transition and sustainable practices.
