Donald Trump’s swearing-in as the 47th President will take place indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to extreme cold weather in Washington, D.C. The usual expansive Capitol backdrop and crowded National Mall will be absent this year.
A livestream of the event and the presidential parade will be available for supporters at Capital One Arena, the same venue that hosted a pre-inauguration rally. While over 200,000 tickets were initially distributed, the arena’s capacity limits attendance to slightly over 20,000.
