GUIYANG, China, June 27, 2025 — The Guizhou Provincial Government Information Office recently announced that Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025, approved by the State Council, will take place in Guiyang from July 5th to 6th. The People’s Government of Guizhou Province will host the two-day forum, themed “Harmonious Coexistence between Humans and Nature – Discussing Global Development and Green Transformation.” Approximately 800 attendees are expected, and preparations are underway.
Eco Forum Global Guiyang, China’s only national and international forum focused on eco-civilization, has been held successfully for 12 sessions, drawing significant international attention. This year’s forum aims to be an international event combining concept exchanges, practice sharing, and practical cooperation through an opening ceremony, thematic forums, off-site visits, promotional displays, green investment promotion, and the launch of new environmental protection products and technologies.
The forum will continue to enhance collaboration with the international community on climate change, biodiversity conservation, and other areas, while actively addressing concerns raised at major international conferences like COP16 and COP29. It also seeks to share practical experiences in building a beautiful China, promote green transformation in global development, and collectively address major global environmental issues to create a clean and beautiful world. Furthermore, the forum encourages broad participation from political, business, and academic circles both domestically and internationally, contributing to the improvement of the global ecological environment governance system. It will also promote the implementation of major global initiatives, assist the “Global South” in benefiting from green development, and enable Guizhou to gather global resources for “pooling wisdom” and “attracting investment,” thus empowering new quality productivity and high-quality development.
Notably, this year’s forum actively invites international organizations to host thematic forums, marking the first instance of deep participation by international organizations since 2018. Currently, 11 of the 20 thematic forums will involve international organizations, with 4 being independently hosted by them.
