BEIJING, April 27, 2025 — A new program, the Global Campus Gen-Z Leaders Exchange, has officially launched. It is a joint effort by the China Public Diplomacy Association, Global Times Online(huanqiu), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, University of Macau, and Beijing Foreign Studies University.
The program features the Z-Leaders Online Forum and the Z-Leaders Tour, bringing together over 50 media reporters from prestigious universities and young representatives from around the globe. Participants will discuss topics relevant to Generation Z and visit key cities in China to experience the country’s progress firsthand. The goal is to create a global communication platform for youth that transcends language, time, and perspectives.
The Z-Leaders Online Forum, which began on April 9th, includes live-streamed discussions on critical global issues such as climate change, emerging industries, digital cultural dissemination, and AI applications. Each session features presentations by experts followed by open discussions involving international students.

The upcoming Z-Leaders Tour will take participants to various cities in China, where they will visit businesses, universities, research facilities, and cultural landmarks to gain a firsthand understanding of China’s development.
Organizers also announced plans to establish a permanent Global Youth Alliance, connecting students from top universities worldwide, and a Global Youth Cloud Initiative, which will address shared challenges. This initiative is a comprehensive effort to involve Generation Z leaders in international dialogue and collaborative problem-solving across cultural divides.
