The third Jinan International Biennale, titled “The Age of Human Wisdom,” opened on December 16, 2024, at the Shandong Art Museum and Jinan Art Museum in Jinan, Shandong Province, China. The exhibition runs until April 2025.

Focusing on “The Age of Human Wisdom,” this year’s Biennale examines how emerging technologies influence contemporary art, society, and daily life.

Showcasing the works of 215 artists from 21 countries and regions, including China, the US, UK, Germany, France, and Italy, the exhibition features 291 pieces.

Organized into 13 themed sections, such as “Ink as a Method,” “Art as Performance,” and “Human Experiments that Reshape Perception,” the Biennale presents a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, digital art, land art, performance art, and new media art.

Launched in 2020, the Jinan International Biennale has previously showcased nearly 800 works by 350 artists from over 40 countries, attracting a cumulative 1.3 million visitors. Guided by the principle of “Chinese Character, International Vision,” and emphasizing cultural diversity, the Biennale serves as a platform for dialogue on contemporary art, fostering international cultural and artistic exchange.
