MANILA, Philippines – The March 2023 Veterinarian licensure exam (VLE) results, including the full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools, are expected to be released online on March 7 or in two (2) working days after the exam.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Veterinary Medicine conducted the licensure exam in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, and Tuguegarao on March 1, 2 and 3, 2023.

REGISTRATION OF PASSERS

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.


VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

Vet board exam’s verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC’s “Verification of Rating” service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.


COVERAGE OF EXAM

The three-day exam covered the following subjects: veterinary anatomy, veterinary physiology and veterinary parasitology (March 1); veterinary pathology, veterinary pharmacology and zootechnics (March 2); and veterinary microbiology and public health and veterinary medicine and surgery (March 3).


RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022, which deals with the ‘Schedule of Licensure Examinations for Year 2023’, the target release date of Veterinarian board exam result is on Tuesday, March 7 or in two (2) working days after the tests.

However, results may be released ahead or on later date without prior notice.


PREVIOUS RESULTS

In the September 2022 Veterinarian Licensure Examination, PRC announced results in two (2) working days after the exam. A total of 335 out of 928 passed the exams. Kenny Vergara Pique from University of the Philippines – Los Banos (UPLB) topped the board with 84.90%. UPLB was named lone top performing school, 88.71% or 55 out of 62 passed.

In the March 2022 Vet board exams, PRC also released results in 2 working days. A total of 288 out of 607 passed the exams. Mark Lawrence Gutierrez Atienza from UPLB led the passers with 85.92%. UPLB topped the schools with 95.00% or 57 out of 60 passed.

In the August and September 2021 Vet board exams, PRC released results in four (4) working days from the last day of examination. The agency named 276 out of 720 who passed the exams. Gabriel Gonzaga Comota III from University of the Philippines (UP) – Los Banos aced the board with 85.36%. None of the schools qualified for the top performing list.

In the February 2021 VLE, PRC also announced results in 4 working days. A total of 292 out of 696 passed the exams. Jerard Angelo Ramos Rayala from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) topped the board with 86.22%. UPLB was named top performing school with 92.45% (49 out of 53 passed).

In the August 2019 Veterinarian licensure exams, PRC named 516 out of 1,057 who successfully hurdled the series of tests. Ian Cary Bolante Prado from UPLB topped the board with 85.46%. UPLB also led the schools with 95.70% passing rate (89 out of 93).

Note that it took only one (1) day for PRC to release results in pre-pandemic Vet board exams.
