ULANQAB, China, May 19, 2025 – The “Travelogue of China 2025” Inner Mongolia Tour, a five-day event, wrapped up on May 16, showcasing the region’s progress in digital innovation, sustainable agriculture, and its growing logistics capabilities.
The China Public Diplomacy Association and Global Times Online jointly organized the tour, which hosted 23 journalists from 19 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The participants visited key locations in Hohhot and Ulanqab, including the Yili Modern Intelligent Health Valley, the Inner Mongolia Data Exchange Center, the Chahar High-Tech Development Zone, and the Qisumu International Logistics Park.
During their visit to Yili’s health valley and M·Grass, the journalists witnessed how advanced technologies, spanning from pasture management to intelligent manufacturing and smart farming, are boosting high-quality growth in animal husbandry. At the region’s digital economy hubs, such as the Yungu Exploration Port and various data centers, reporters observed Inner Mongolia’s development as a “cloud valley on the grasslands.”
Visits to agricultural innovation centers, such as the Cold-Tolerant Vegetable Academician Workstation, strawberry plant factories, and the Hongfu Modern Agricultural Park, demonstrated Inner Mongolia’s leading position in modern and digital agriculture.
The delegation also toured Wulanhada Volcano Geopark, recognized as a “natural volcano museum” due to its distinctive and well-preserved lava formations. The site attracted 4.47 million tourists in 2024, generating RMB 3.73 billion in revenue and supporting thousands of local jobs.
At Qisumu Logistics Park, a global center for China-Europe freight trains and the processing of agricultural products, international journalists showed interest in establishing potential rail connections to their respective countries. Shahrokh Saei, a journalist from the Tehran Times, commented that “China’s infrastructure and diplomatic approach are not just resilient but visionary.” Isu Tuvshin, a Mongolian journalist from News.mn, added that China’s innovation and strategic planning provide it with “a unique global trade advantage.”
The 2025 series commenced on May 12 at the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center in Hohhot, representing the eighth iteration of the “Travelogue of China” program.
