(SeaPRwire) – The Artemis II crew, consisting of NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, is returning home after a record-setting 10-day mission around the Moon. Their Orion spacecraft is slated to re-enter Earth’s atmosphere and touch down in the ocean off San Diego at about 8:07 p.m. EDT (5:07 p.m. PDT) this Friday, April 10.
Following splashdown, recovery teams in helicopters will extract the astronauts from Orion within a two-hour window and fly them to the USS John P. Murtha. Onboard the ship, the crew will have post-mission medical assessments. They will then be transported to shore to catch a flight to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
